The Client
The clients were in the process of refurbishing their home. It was now turn for their front bedroom. We had been recommended to the clients by a family member. As a result, they already knew that we were able to offer truly made to measure bedroom furniture.

The Space
The room was of a very good size. Fairly typical of a period property, it had a chimney breast in the middle of the room. Together we decided that the best use of space would be to house the wardrobes in either alcove and create a partial carcase in front of the chimney to serve as a book case. While the wardrobes were supplied with our usual full carcase structure the furniture across the chimney breast was installed as a frame system. This was to save on space as well as cost.

The Exterior
The clients really liked the look of sliding door wardrobes. As a result we specified four sliding doors to span the width of the room. The sliding doors were supplied with a black frame and oriental bars. Two doors were supplied with pure white glass panels and two with mirror glass panels. The surrounding trim was supplied in a silver finish to complement the grey paint on the walls.

The Interior
Each alcove was used for the actual wardrobe storage. The left alcove housed a four drawer chest, single hanging space and deep shelf storage to the higher level. The right alcove consisted of short hanging, long hanging as well as shelf storage. Across the chimney there is plenty of storage for books, folders, etc. All of the shelves in the bookcase are fully adjustable.

The Result
The finished product looks truly splendid. The quality of the materials, combined with the fantastic installation, resulted in the room looking like something out of a brochure. The client’s are so happy with our work that they have invited us back to install wardrobes in another bedroom. There is no greater compliment!
